Many patients are concerned about the question of costs. Here you can get information about the settlement options for your treatment and/or stay at Kursana Private Hospital at the Wörgl Health Centre.
Before surgery, each patient is provided with information about the individual costs and the refund possibilities offered by their respective insurance companies.
We can settle the costs for your stay with the following private insurance providers:
Direct settlement of the special class surcharges:
If your supplementary health insurance covers 100% of the costs, we can settle the special class surcharges directly with your insurer. However, this does not apply to special services, such as alternative treatments which are provided upon the patient's explicit request without being included in the service catalogue agreed upon by contract. Likewise, the coverage does not include surcharges for single-occupancy rooms.
No direct settlement of the special class surcharges:
If your supplementary health insurance does not cover 100% of the costs, we unfortunately cannot settle the special class surcharges directly with your insurer. You will receive an invoice for the special class surcharges.
Direct settlement is possible with the regional health insurers for Tyrol, Salzburg, Vorarlberg, Vienna, Upper Austria and Lower Austria as well as with SVA, BVA, SV-Bauern (Austrian agricultural insurance fund) and Versicherungsanstalt für Eisenbahnen und Bergbau (insurance institution for the Austrian railways & mining industry).
That means that, if you are insured under one of these compulsory insurance schemes, the costs of the general fee class will be settled directly via the Private Hospital Financing Fund (PRIKRAF).
Unfortunately, direct settlement is not possible with other mandatory insurance schemes. You will receive invoices for the costs falling within the general fee class and for the special class surcharges. Once these invoices have been paid, you can submit them to your insurer. The compulsory share will be reimbursed with regard to the diagnosis and services. The surgery fees have to be borne by you.
Your treatment might also be covered by your accident insurance. This is something we specifically point out to our patients, for most people do have this type of insurance.
You may always call or email our employees if you need information about the settlement possibilities.
